ABOUT ME

I was inspired by chemistry, math, and physics early on in life. I realized that mastering these disciplines would give me an in-depth understanding of nature. For example, chemistry is the study of how atoms come together to make up the world around us. Physics is a science that allows one to translate a scenario into a math problem in order to quantitatively predict its future outcomes. To combine chemistry, math, and physics is to quantitatively understand the atoms that make up the world around us, and to understand how to design new materials to solve the worlds most pressing technology problems. I developed my skillset by double majoring in chemistry and physics at Oregon State University. I immediately began undergraduate research in the laboratory of Prof. May Nyman where I discovered 11 new rare-earth coordination polymers and published my work as first-author. I also partnered up with Yousif Almulla to co-found the Inventors Enterprise student organization, which pooled together STEM and business students to collaboratively invent new technology. I completed my degrees at OSU and eagerly accepted a research fellowship at the University of Southern California. I put my skills to the test by designing new materials for two different technologies: renewable energy and organic LED displays. In both technologies, I used my understanding of the underlying molecular physics that governs material properties to make cutting edge discoveries and publish first author papers in both fields. Check out my projects page for more details on these bodies of work. Now I am transitioning to the next stage of my career where I will continue to broaden my skillset into new technologies. I would appreciate the opportunity to learn more about the ongoing projects at your company; let's connect via email or social media.
